Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce foundation contributes to Sturgis Rally Charities, though ticket sales for the one-of-a-kind, custom build, official Sturgis Motorcycle. The Chamber may contribute other funds, in addition.

Michael Redford of Lywood, Washington is the winner of the Officially Licensed Motorcycle of the 2008 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. He joins an elite club of four that have a motorcycle that carries the world renowned composite of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

• The 2007 custom motorcycle went to Oregon.
• The 2006 custom motorcycle went to Wisconsin.
• the 2005 custom motorcycle went to Louisiana.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally originated in 1938 and has been around for 70 years! In order to provide benefits to the residents of Sturgis, SD, the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce created the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation. The Chamber's Foundation partnered with the Sturgis Rally Charities Foundation to give the proceeds away! In the past two years, we have been able to grant over $60,000 to adult and youth clubs and organizations in the Sturgis area.
